The ATOM pool launch has launched on June 20th 2023! As a DeFi protocol built for the Cosmos community, it is only natural to start with the most central token of our ecosystem! Everyone is able to deposit their ATOMs and get multiple chances to win prizes.
The Grand Prize should be very attractive. It will have a relatively low frequency of distribution, but can sum up to a life-changing amount.
The other prizes should aim to be more reasonable in value, but distributed often in order to have a bunch of Cosmos Millions winners every week.
Updated July 19th
Each winner in the $ATOM pool will enjoy a unique triumph - only one prize awarded per draw.
This change is aimed at enhancing the fairness of the distribution, offering more participants the chance to win.
Note: the definitions can be found in the Pool Management > Prize Strategy section
Prize Batch | Quantity | Prize Pool share | Draw probability |
---|---|---|---|
As a sanity check, the Prize Pool shares should sum to 1.
This configuration is not set in stone and shall be revised and updated in accordance to community discussions and decisions.
Weโre grateful to the ATOM Accelerator DAO for their grant! The ATOM pool will be bootstrapped with a minimum of $100,000 ATOM, courtesy of this grant, and 100% of the grant amount will be used as a sponsorship.
Let's assume that we have:
97 000 ATOMS bonded as sponsorship
Two users
Bob who deposits 100 ATOMs
Alice who also deposits 100 ATOMs
ATOM APR: 20%
ATOM weekly APR : 0.38% (20% divided by 52 weeks)
The ATOM Pool TVL is 97 200 ATOM. The Prize Pool is roughly 97 200 * 0.38% = 369 ATOM The Grand Prize takes 50% of the Prize Pool, i.e. 50%* 369 = 184 ATOM The draw for the L Prize happens and .... we have a winner! As the sponsorship does not count in the winners' selection, and since Bob and Alice deposited the same amount, they both have the same chance of being picked as a winner and ... Alice is selected and won 184 ATOMs! This process is repeated for every prize in each prize batch, i.e. 5 times for M Prize etc...
